The Definition
Boiler tube is that open at both ends, with hollow section, the ratio of length to perimeter is big. This tube can be divided into seamless and welded tube according to manufacturing method. The specification of boiler tube is represented by external dimensions (such as out diameter or side length) and wall thickness. It had wide rang of sizes, from capillary with little diameter to big diameter with meters of outside diameters.
High pressure boiler tube is one of boiler tubes, belongs to seamless steel tubes. Its manufacturing method is same as seamless pipes, but has serious request of steel grade used for producing steel pipes. High pressure boiler tubes are often used at high temperature and high pressure, tubes can oxidize and corrode under the action of high temperature flue gas and steam. This requires high lasting strength of tubes, high anti-oxidation corrosion performance, and good organization stability.
The Usage
Common boiler tubes are mainly used to manufacture superheated steam pipe for cool-water wall tube, boiling water tube, locomotive boiler, large and small smoke tubes, etc.
High pressure boiler tubes are mainly used to manufacture superheated steam pipe, re-heat tube, air pipe, main steam pipe with high pressure and super high pressure.
